March 1st Exotic Ram Hunt opportunity for one Combat Veteran who is ready to be empowered to combat their Post Traumatic Stress Disorder by being introduced to the peaceful benefits of the outdoors.

The hunt will take place at Rock Water Ranch a brand new beautiful high fence ranch in Rusk, Tx that is set up perfectly for a successful hunt with one of our Hookset Brothers Combat Recovery Guides. Day consist of a morning hunt and afternoon hunt if necessary with meal in between with some down time.

If you are interested in this hunt please message the team a short bio of your service... Our organization pays for the hunt opportunity so we are looking for Combat Veterans who are truly in need of some peace and someone who could truly use a blessing. If you are a avid Hunter please understand we’re offering hunts to folks who don’t have that opportunity as others. Crossbow will be provided for the hunt you must possess a hunters license. We will choose the Combat Veteran very soon.

Head to our Facebook page Hookset Brothers Combat Recovery and message our team.

Wonderful gesture, BUT, maybe you should take him or her fishing instead. Not trying to be a horses behind, just not sure if guns and PTSD are a good combo. I'm reminded of a tragedy in Erath cty a few Years ago.

it is true what had happened to Chris Kyle was very tragic but it was a very isolated incident being there are so many organizations that are trying to help our struggling Veterans with just one incident.

Here are my thoughts on this - One we only offer crossbow / bow hunts for now that way we are not triggering their struggling or flashbacks. Eventually when we do feel comfortable opening it up to rifle hunts we believe by replacing the gun fire noise from their memory of war to their new gun fire noise were making with this memory we in fact changing the way their mind is triggered on gun fire sound. I say this because the founders of Hookset Brothers Combat Recovery are Wounded Combat Veterans as well and we have seen first hand the benefits of the outdoors are with our own recovery. But please remember that one incident stands alone as there have been countless veterans on hunts with organizations all across the nation that have been successful and zero injuries. Beyond the animal of course we’ll depends we have had some Veterans miss sometimes makes you wonder who trained them lol.

But we do offer fishing as well.
