Nice spotting on the cat. Congrats on your first shotgun kill.

Sorry fellas, but I just don't get killing bobcats. They're harmless.

I wouldn’t say they are harmless, I’d be willing to bet that there are just as many fawns killed by bobcats as there are killed by coyotes. They may not pose as big of a concern towards cattle as coyotes do but, I do believe they are still a fairly serious threat towards deer and turkeys

They may be, but I can tell you that deer are not afraid of bobcats. I watched two deer messing around with a bobcat recently, the cat was not afraid of the deer either but showed no aggression.

Cast, I don’t think that a bobcat would specifically target a larger deer (unless the deer were wounded) but, I believe a fawn on up to a yearling would definitely be on the menu. I have seen or heard (can’t exactly remember where) of a fella that shot a doe and dropped her where she was and then at some point noticed the doe was moving in the pasture. Upon further inspection it was a bobcat that had the doe by the throat and was trying to drag her off. Also I think I should say that I don’t want to kill off every bobcat, they do a good job of keeping the rats, gophers, mice etc. in check

Texasteach, we don’t have quail in my part of the country but I would believe that bobcats could definitely put a hurting on some quail

They won’t get the healthy Bambi’s as they stay with the herd.
