I’m just not good at it. Tried mouth calls and then went to electronic (Alpha Dogg). I called in a few over time, but I must be insulting them rather than attracting them. Still, I did get one last evening, using a wounded piglet sound. Or maybe it was just an accident.

So...you effective coyote callers...what works best for you to bring them in? I need help/advice.

I called in 2 last night and killed them. One of them with female coy challenge barks and the other with piglet in distress. The pig in distress coyote took over 20 min to come in. If something isn’t working I switch it up every few minutes

Just stay with it. Go for weeks and have no luck, use mostly mouth calls. Even get the fox Pro out with remote decoy, if they are not there, not going to call them in. To me, it’s just relaxing and fun to get out with nature. Lucky, still have a good bit of private land to hunt, but with metromess moving closer, have lost a lot of hunting places to new homes. Grrrrrrr. Only going to get worst over time to come.

My Yote toys,
Ruger 77 22-250
Foxpro 416B & numerous hand calls

I just use a few sounds over and over but any fast paced rabbit or bird sound should work if there are predators that have not been buggered up by other callers.
Saturday a couple of friends and I rolled up 10 coyotes and 6 Bobcats and 4 raccoons and the prior Wednesday /Thursday called 9 Bobcats and a dozen or more coyotes for some guys from Mississippi that are suppliers to our company.... they even killed a couple of them bang

Dang, DStroud, that’s a lot of varmints you guys called in. As for me, it isn’t that I don’t shoot coyotes. I kill em when I see them during deer season, and I kill them over bait (dead pigs, usually). It’s just when trying to call them in that I don’t get much action. Still, I did call in the one I could see way out in my hay field. A female invitation call brought him my way. I suppose that my decade long coyote shooting must have thinned em out, and I may have a shortage of coyotes - which is my real objective anyway.

I did call in my flightless buzzard a couple of days ago. A session of piglet distress calls brought him at a trot.
