Rigging up some new feeders they are allseasons 12V units with "the timer". Did not come with down spouts. Ill be putting them on standard 55gal metal barrels with funnel. Most feeders on the property are spin cast and ontime so I haven't used this type of down spout.

Most good metal funnels these days have the "down spout" portion built in. If yours do, you don't need anything else. Simple use a hole saw to drill your hole in bottom center of your drum, insert funnel all the way through, screw or tack weld in place, and caulk the gap. Good to go.

If yours do not, you can simply use the small metal 2" "mini funnels" outside the hole of your drum. They are about 2" in diamter and about 2" deep. Screw to bottom of drum.

A lot of the barrels i get must not be standard size. They are used for shipping sesame oil. Hard time finding good funnels that fit.Either too big or too small. So i get those flimbsy adjustable ones that dont have a elongated down spout.

Ahh got you. Those juice drums are narrower and slightly taller than a standard 55. You're right, trying to put a metal funnel in is no fun.
