We hit them hard two years ago. I will admit we slacked off this year and now seeing similar pics.. just wish my deer population would explode like these this.

Definitely time to "thin the herd!" Put a couple of piles of corn a bit a way away from the feeder, load up with some #6 or #5 shot, and do a "skillet shot" when they all pile into the corn!

I guess you all missed the part about "Five months later I have the numbers down to this...." before the last pic. grin

I live 55 miles from my place in those pics so I only set traps when I was going there or going to hunt back to back days. I had them down from 25+ to around 8 or 10. The last pic was from last week after I moved the traps back home to trap out 6 that had moved in here. Caught those last week and now have one new one on TC as of night before last. I am sure more will move in on both locations so it is a never ending cycle. I have trapped 6 here this year, 40 last year, 15 year before, 22 year before that and 26 the year before that all off of where I live here. I trap year round as needed when I see tracks or sign or get pics of them.

Didn't someone mention Golden Marin fly bait mixed with soda as a means to get rid of these corn thieves?

Our coons are of the Circus Soleil variety. I have caught well over 500 of them acrobats in the last 7 years on DP traps, with corn only. Coons are so curious that we have had feeders with no deer for weeks pile up an inch of corn on the ground, and the coons will still go for the few morsels in the DP trap. No need for fancy baits, they came for corn, the bait answer is obvious.

Wow. Me and my boy trapped a a bunch of them this year. The neighbors brought in chickens and the raccoons found them tasty. roflmao
