Did some gun work for a friend and when I dropped it off he handed me a Pulsar Helion and Trail XP50 in new unopened boxes and said take these and once you have them all figured out you can bring them back and show me how they work.
My question is are they pretty intuitive or do I need to google up some tutorials. I plan to try it on an AR first then a bolt gun.... I might even have it figured out in time to get them back to him for next deer season.

I think they're pretty complicated.

It would likely take me several years before I'd be able to return them …

1.
2.

David, you will want to read up on them and figure out what all the buttons do. It is a very techy unit.

I wish I had a friend to hand me $9,000 worth of toys and tell me to figure them out!ha!

Start with the Trail. Read the manual while you are are holding the scope so you can play with the buttons and figure out what it all does. In 30 minutes you should be able to have it mostly all figured out. There is a lot going on, but it's not rocket science either. Once you have the Trail figured out, the Helion is a no brainer because it's essentially an identical unit without the reticle and the zeroing features. Except for the power button, the rest of the buttons are the same, their functions are the same etc.

Have fun!
