Reason I looked at Arizona is Iím putting my oldest boy in for a youth hunt, there. I thought Iíd see if I could get lucky in a neighboring unit at the same time. I ainít paying bull tag prices for a cow tag.
Arizona juice is probably only worth the squeeze as a non-resident for a bull tag after holding out with points for years and years. However- depending on the dates of the youth hunt for elk and what unit you might be able to hunt some other species... Dependin on timeline maybe a Coues OCT rifle tag.
Heck-- I'd cough up the $160 NR license cost add a $75 mtn lion permit and go spend some time predator calling as well!! When I did my Coues hunt I killed out on the first day. I spent the rest of time shooting fox, coyote, quail etc. Had a blast!!! We saw lion tracks but never got eyes on a live one but they are all over, esp down south.
