Had a 44mag version, after you emptied the mag you could use it as Thor's Hammer to finish off what was left standing.

I have one, fun to shoot. Had a muzzle brake placed on the end and it isn’t so bad to shoot now.

Never owned one but have shot several, recoil isn't that bad with the gas system and weight. I have shot several 44 Mags that were more painful to shoot. With they really aren't that bad, and you really require hearing protection with them anyway with or without he break.

There’s a guy that goes to alpine shooting range quite a bit with one that has a long barrel maybe 10in or so . Looks like a fun gun to shoot .

I've shot them before. They are heavy and loud. Pretty accurate for a pistol.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

First gun I ever owned. Shot it once, didn't know what I was doing. FTE and FTF stuff. Got rid of it, regretted it, bought another one and just sits in the safe....

I shot one at a range in Albuquerque about 18 years ago at an indoor range where you could choose from quite a few to rent. I chose the .50 AE. There was a big window between the shop and the range where you could watch the people shooting. There were about six or eight guys out there already shooting. I took that DE out there, ran a target downrange, and fired my six complimentary rounds, then cased it up and brought it back in to turn it in. My brother-in-law was standing there giggling and it kinda pissed me off because I thought he was laughing at my shooting (that pistol was a handfull!) so I asked him what the hell he thought was so damn funny. He told me that he was watching when I fired the first round, and all the other shooters' feet came up off the floor about six inches when I touched off the first round, and they were all looking around like "WTH was THAT??"
I never wanted a Desert Eagle .50 AE after that. If a .44 Mag won't take it down, I probably shouldn't be shootin at it.
