I have a pointer named Annie that I have hunted with the last three seasons and would consider her a finished dog and can be hunted on foot and even better yet off an ATV. She is house broke, kennel broke, and good with kids. She is a hunting dog and all she wants to do is hunt. She has developed over the last 6 months a strong aggression against other dogs and any animal as far as that goes. I have had some problems with her and porcupines so I now run her with a muzzle that is designed to let a dog drink and pant. After speaking with my wife and we both agree she is not a dog we need to have around with multiple dogs and young kids. The last thing I need is a 6 yr old kid trying to break up a dog fight. I would like to give her away to a good home. She would be great for someone who has plenty of time to take her hunting. She has been 10 times this year and we only missed two weekends last year out of the whole season. The only thing I really want is her to go to a one dog home and have a person that will take her hunting and be willing to buy a gps tracker collar due to the muzzle. She also has a sickle tail, but never was a problem for me as all I want is a dog to find the birds and hold point. Her blood lines are highly sought after as she has Jayhawk and I believe Katie Lee Elhew. She does have her vices, but I promise you there are few dogs that can hunt as hard and cover as much ground. She has a very loving personality towards humans, but could care less for other dogs. This has not been an easy decision as I have spent a ton of time with this dog and will really hate to see her go. Please feel free to call me about Annie 325-450-3615.

Sorry you have to let her go.
Have you tried a shock collar to keep her from fighting other dogs and porcupines ? Forrest

I had a yellow lab that would fight any dog that came around, I caught him in the act and jumped on him and layed on him until he quit struggling which took a while. He never would fight again, dogs would attack him even little dogs hanging off him but he never responded with aggression again. Best dog I ever had and for over 10 years.

This dog is as well bred for a quail dog as there is around. Her dad is a multiple champion and one heck of a bird dog. If you can only have one dog and enjoy bird hunting this is a special little dog.

The kids and I took Annie out for about the last 10 to 15 minutes of hunting for the evening. Annie had this covey in about the first 5 minutes the birds would not hold and I had a lot going on in the background with 6 year old twins trying to video Annie and I. She is a good dog and needs a good home. I do not want her to go to someone that is here to sell her and make a buck. I want her to go to a place where she will be cared for and hunted a ton. She has been good to me and got me started hunting with bird dogs and she and I have both learned a lot. She deserves a good place and I will find it for her. It has been asked about her aggression and I believe while hunting she will be just fine running with another dog, now not saying have at the water bowl you might have a problem. I believe her aggression is more jealous driven than anything. Here are some photos and possible video if I can download it.
