Never did get around to posting my new hunting/mountain rifle. WTO knocked it out of the park on this one. Came in a bit heavier than my target (6lbs) but close enough at 6.4lbs bare and 7.9lbs with rings, scope, and ammo

Borden Alpine Ti
Manners EH3
Bix n Andy Tacsport trigger
PT&G bottom metal
Hawkins rings
Leopold Mark 6

Not too shabby on initial testing .155 @ 100. Only tried one combo of bullets, powder, and primers. Will stick with that until it gets 100-200 more rounds through it then try to squeeze some more power out of it.

Ahhh I forgot that part

Bartlein 2b finished at 24” with a Benchmark Miller brake

The action is very nice. I was worried about Ti but if there is an issue the coating cleared it up for sure. It’s very smooth

Nice. I got a 2b for my next one. Thought about moving to a 3 but will probably leave it for now

Nice rifle...I put the same scope on one of my rifles....love that scope, capped windage and low profile turret...just about perfect.

Was there a lighter stock option? Thought it'd be lighter too.

.155 is none too shabby. You running 143eldx or a flavor of Berger?

Are you going to pull those pistols, or whistle Dixie?

I’m sure there was if I looked but I was pretty set on this one. It just felt good to me so didn’t want it shorter or thinner. Could have shortened the shank or gone a profile lighter too but I didn’t really want have to light of a contour. It’s close enough if I really want to cut some weight I can roll with another scope option and not make sacrifices on the rifle itself. It will be a pure hunting rifle anyway

Wonder if the 6.5 saum will be commercialized?

Probably not with the PRC coming out. They’re close enough in performance a fast PRC barrel can make it faster than a slow saum barrel. All things equal about 50fps difference

Shame on you for not getting closer.

Clearly you are not a very good hunter, and are more of a shooter.

Obviously you do not know how to play the wind and stalk.

I don't understand why you need all those gizmos on a rifle scope.

This is what turret twirlers and turret spinners do. It is not real hunting shots.

Why would you use anything but Rem Core-Lokt ammo?

Funny enough I wanted to bowhunt them and outfitter who is a hardcore bowhunter told me the area wasn’t great for it. Sure enough where we came in there were sheep on the 3 sides in front of us and getting closer would have run them out of the country. Guide intitially wanted me to take him at 591 but I insisted on getting as close as possible and 515 is where we ran out of cover
