This was a 10 at the first of this season!!!

NIce. I passed on a big 8 pt this year that was missing literally half his horns.

I noted on another topic that all the bucks we saw in December had broken racks. Some worse than others. This included about 10 to 15 different deer. The only upside I'm hoping as a result they got a pass and will be available next year!!!!!!!!

We use to have the same problem. Before the rut bucks of all shapes and sizes everywhere. Then like they had a plan, Saturday morning your buck comes in all busted up. Very frustrating. That all stopped the year we started feeding protein during the growing season. Our place is low fence and people will tell you your feeding your neighbors next big buck, and that may be true, but it has made a huge reduction in busted up racks on our lease.

It was a terrible year for broken main beams and tines this year. I had probably 5 bucks with completely broken main beams right at the bases and some of those happened in early bow season. I had one mature buck I was after that broke his left main beam just past the g2 and several broken tines on several others. It was definitely a weird year. Whatever they were missing in their nutrition last year I hope they find it this growing season
