Old picture he looked like a Beast. He showed up on one game cam pic and never saw him again. North Central Oklahoma east of Guthrie about 15 miles.

What tells you that. I don't know all that much about Hogs but I bet he would tear up a person if cornered. Here's one we killed a few miles from this location.

You indeed have a beast on camera. Make sure weigh or get the heart girth measurement if you shoot him.

I don't believe it could be the same hog they are separated by about 5 miles and across a busy blacktop. Time wise yes it's possible between the two pictures but that would be a big coincidence.

the short snout is tell tale, all hogs on this continent were from domestics at some point, maybe he has more recent domestic ancestors, nobody will ever know

He's awesome!! At some point of pursuing an animal you start appreciating them more and more. He IS a beast. WheTher domestic or wild. Personally I think he's more wild. The hogs up there are more Russian. Spanish hogs are typically black. The long haired brown or red hogs with long heads and short ears and broom tails are more Russian. I hunt Rule Tx and you can trace story's of ranches back in the oil boom days having true Russian boars stocked for hunting purposes. Boy they had no clue what effect that would have. I must say I can appreciate those hogs. It's tough to push an arrow through them.
His ears are a little big and his tail looks like it has a twist in it so there is some domestic blood there.

5 miles and busy blacktop is easily within a big boar's range

I decided to dig a little closer never considered it was the same hog. I said it was 5 miles that was a good guess it was just a little over 5 miles and straight south to where he was killed.
