I use quite a bit of the foam bore cleaning stuff... no particular brand just whatever I find as it all seems about the same performance wise.
I keep a good supply of Hornady One shot dry lube on hand too.

Bolt Gun? -Various Tipton rods depending on caliber, bore guide, Butche's Bore Shine, tipped jag, patches, nylon brush, bore swab to clean chamber, light grease on bolt and back side of lugs.

Pistol ? - Same as rifle but light oil on rails and other moving parts.

AR? - Same as rifle with the addition of a chamber brush and MPro7 to clean carbon off the BCG. Light synthetic oil liberally on BCG. A few extra parts for lost/broken parts.

I also have a collection of cotton swabs, pipe cleaners, plastic and bronze brushes, and several styles of plastic and metal pics for tight areas. Also have Barnes Copper Remover and Shooter's Choice Copper Remover when needed. I probably have too many gadgets in mine but think I am ready for most scenarios.

An old cleaning rod I got years ago, a can or two of foaming bore cleaner, a nylon brush, an old t-shirt to cut patches from, and a quart of oil from whatever I have around or use in my vehicle. At the moment its rotella t6.

Kroil, Wipe-Out, synthetic lube oil. Treating a "clean down to the metal" bore with Dyna Bore Coat makes later cleaning a breeze.

Two items in my cleaning box that stand out are Hornady One Shot Gun Cleaner and Lube and Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax and Polish. The Hornady Cleaner and Lube was found to be one of the best at creating long term protection against rust without leaving an oily residue. It's the last thing I apply to rifle bores because it protects without leaving any residue that can impact accuracy. Renaissance Wax is unbeaten when it comes to protecting wood stocks and doesn't create a waxy feel that makes a firearm more difficult (and unsafe) to handle. Some even use it to protect all exterior surfaces of their firearms.

YES, I use those Ramrod swabs, they are great, different from Q-tips, made for guns

I really have about every gun cleaning gizz there is but I primarily use all the SHARPSHOOTER products re; Wipe out bore foam, accelerator and Patch Out. Lots of patches, LOTS of patches !!! Nylon brushes only.

{Pipe cleaners or AR gas tube cleaners for all porting, muzzle breaks.

Please describe/specify what you refer to as trouble.

Thanks.

Failure to go into battery, failure to eject. Both of those have always been due to lubrication. I shoot the LR-308 the most, and it is suppressed. Carbon build-up on the BCG is immediate after only one shot. The Mobile-1 and ATF combo has made it keep shooting through the carbon build-up.

Probably not a big problem most of the year. I liked the 5W20 while the weather is cold. But will continue to use it all year. After-all a quart of gun oil lasts a long time.
