Is my 12 gauge the only shotgun (or only model of this shotgun) that doesn't like #8 Rio shotshells? If you don't have a solid stance--leaning forward for the action to recoil--it tends to want to mess up. Either it doesn't pull out the shell or the gun just "jams" with the empty shell stuck in there.

I feel like the Rio shells have too shallow rims...this doesn't happen with any other brand of ammo. And also, the gun was cleaned and lubricated before firing and this happened.

Shoot a different shell. Why do you have to shoot Rios?

The qc seems lacking on them.

I use 20 and 12 gauge Rios for dove hunting. Out of 9 shotguns I own, one doesn’t like Rio. It happens. Many if not most semi-auto shotguns have a particular shell they dont like. In the price range a Yildiz sells for I would expect it to be pickier than some others.

Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

I just had them in the house and was shooting some clays. Switching shells is definitely the best option.

I didn’t know that, that’s interesting. I would tend to agree with you, but this is the only specific brand that I’ve had issues with. Thank you

probably has a very rough chamber given the quality of these guns, have it polished or at least clean the gun and grease the chamber lightly. I don't think the Rios are your problem

then again, try some AA's, if they don't work, use the gun to weigh down your trot lines

Haha! Thank you, will try this. Question though, I don’t recall having this issue with Winchester or Remington ammunition, is the ammo hit and miss or the gun? No sure fire way to find out I guess!

If it's a gas operated gun, which I think it is, pull the barrel and check the vent ports. Those are either 1 or 2 small holes, usually located near where the ring on the barrel fits over the magazine. With cheaper shells and/or over-oiling, you can clog these up. When clogged, they won't allow enough gas to flow into the action to work it. Seen it with 1100's and 11-87 and even a couple of Beretta 390's and 391's.
You can use a pipe cleaner or even a bent paper clip to get some of the gunk out. You can also use some spray with the tube to blow it out of the holes and into the barrels.

Rifles are similar to boats and young women...there's no end to how much money you can pour into them without making them any more useful.

Is it a newer gun? Some light loads struggle to cycle newer guns because springs can be tired
