I inherited a Lever action 250 Savage Rifle recently and have no idea what its worth. Its in really nice shape and was wondering where I could go to find out its value. Any ideas?

I am guessing you mean a model 99 250-3000 "so named because it was the first cartridge to achieve 3000 fps". If it is a takedown in good shape could easily be worth $1000. An average 99 with a good bore is worth $500-$650. That can go way up or WAY down depending on condition and especially the bore.

This is about right. I have a 99f that was rebarreled to .250 savage many years ago. Itís a great, fast moving .25 but ammo is tough to come by.

250 Savage brass is available now, I would suggest buying some before the supply drys up again..
It is produced "seasonally" meaning not very often.

They are great Guns but for some reason donít have a big collector following.
I just bought a takedown in 90% off Gunbroker for 580.00 a clean std. rifle goes for around 450.00
