Best I can tell, a modular Accustock. My first reaction is fugly but ergonomic. Maybe it will grow on me. https://www.savagearms.com/accufit

Another smart move by Savage IMHO I agree. My least fussy rifles are my 3 Savages and my Tikka CTR. They will shoot anything I feed them MOA and loads they like better than I can shoot. This is a 5 shot group with my Savage Precision Carbine in 223. This group is 69 grain TMKs but it's typical for this rifle if I do my part. It's hard not to get a MOA or better. This one has one of those cheap crappy Accustocks and a crappy Vortex PST.

Another smart move by Savage IMHO Smartest thing they could change would be new steel for their ejector springs, add 50% to the diameter, and start over on their extractor design. Working on anything else is just gimmicks.

Working on anything else is just gimmicks. That’s only an issue if you wear out the factory ones. The VAST majority of shooters won’t do that.

Saw that stock on a hunting show the other day and wondered why I hadn't seen it before. I think it's a good idea, Ruger offers similar on their .22 Americans & 10/22s.

Working on anything else is just gimmicks. Sounds like a broke record! The same problem still has not been corrected. Rifle builder friend of mine called me on Tuesday. His customer wants him to rebarrel a Savage action. His customer said "it's not ejecting, can you fix that?". Therefore the phone call to me to ask how the fix happens.

Had some fairly new rifles customers brought with them to my place. Yup, they shot tight, that's what Savages tend to do. And, many times that day, the shooter had to reach in and grab the spent case. I don't know why people think I make this up.

I don’t know why people even care how guns look anymore. They all have a crappy finish and a plastic stock, so why do the lines and styling even matter?

I've never had a Savage in the shop, or any of ours have the failure... just lucky. I like the new stock, depending on price...

I believe JG, no reason not to, but I post on other sites and places on Reddit and never hear anybody else have as many issues with extractor. I’ve owned several savages and the only time I’ve ever had to reach in to grab a spent case is when I’m trying to catch it as it extracts and I knock it back in with my sausage fingers. If I throw the bolt back they always have gone flying.

They extract. It is easy for that to come apart, though. My prairie dog rifle, 22-250, is on a Savage action. It will not eject, at all. It is on its' third ejector spring. It extracts the case from the chamber and lets go of it right on top of the next rounds in the mag. I'll shoot 500 rounds on the trip, and maybe 4 will eject off the bench, and onto the ground. I will not put another ejector spring in it, because it is the one rifle I do not want it to ehect. Keeps me from losing brass in the prairie grass.

There were several times in my post I meant to type eject when I typed extract. That’s my point, you’re wearing out the ejector spring. They may wear out faster than other manufacturers, but most people will never wear one out. I’m not saying they shouldn’t build them stronger, just that it won’t be a problem for most.

Count me in the group that has NEVER had an extractor problem with a Savage rifle. I've also never known anyone else personally that has had a problem either. Do I believe it's possible. Sure.
Would I bet that in my lifetime I will never experience it? Yes. I'd take that bet. I have over 30 Savage rifles at last count.
