With this cold weather we are having, it got me to thinking about insulation on the walls and inside of the roof of my blind, metal roof Does anyone know of a dark insulation I can get to put on the walls? I want to keep the walls dark so it's harder for game to see inside Any ideas?

Spray foam, paint black. Foam board paint black. the old fashion tar type insulation board is already black.
Thank You Robert

I have looked for any sort of spray insulation at the usual Home Depot Lowe etc and cannot find anything but those small cans of foam that fill cracks. Where can you buy a larger amount to say insulate a 4 X 6' blind?

you would probably have to rent a machine, a small blind with out no electricity may not be worth it. I also remembered that I saw a tv show several years ago that they were making insulation out of old blue jeans. That may just be a good bedding material for rodents https://www.homedepot.com/b/Building-Materials-Insulation-Denim-Insulation/N-5yc1vZbvev

I bought the 4 x 8 sheets of 3/4 foam and glued them to the sides.

I bought the 4 x 8 sheets of 3/4 foam and glued them to the sides. this is what I would do and paint it black. However, I just built a blind out of 5mm plywood. We glassed and resined the entire blind, so it's almost air tight. I can hardly stay in mine with a Mr. Buddy heater going. Why do you need to insulate your blind?

Go to an appliance dealer and ask them to save some refrigerator, freezer and washer dryer boxes. Cut them up in large panels, glue 3 or 4 layers together and glue or screw the cardboard panels to the wall. When gluing, use a good wood glue, all a little water to about a cup of glue and use a cheap paint brush to spread it. Use the glue sparingly, it is not necessary to soak it, a light coat of glue goes a long way.

I bought the 4 x 8 sheets of 3/4 foam and glued them to the sides. Insulated my blind with sheets of this foamboard sides and ceiling. works really well. should be easy to paint.

I used some of the foil lined board. With a roll of aluminum tape and a utility knife you can do it pretty quick and seal up the blind pretty good. I used a hack saw blade for little adjustments and notches. Made a big difference in the summer too.

You can do the walls all you want but most of your heat is still going to be lost through the windows. Don't forget to do the floor as well.
