I have a friend who shoots for DirtNap, so I've been thinking about giving the DRTs a try. Anybody used them that has an opinion on them?

I like them. For me, they require very little tuning and work great.

Heard good things-- never had a fixed blade that didn't require a little more fine tuning than a expandable. I've shot 2 styles of Slick Trick, Solids and Muzzys and all needed the sight adjusted bc they did not hold same point of impact as field points.

As for terminal performance- Slick Tricks are good and provide great penetration. I prefer rage hypodermics or Swhackers. Had good luck with both on deer and I killed my cow elk this year with a 125gr Rage Hypo +P and had a perfect pass through and she ran 25 yards and tipped.

If your broadheads aren’t shooting the same as your field points that’s not on the broadhead that’s on the bow. You need to tune your bow not readjust sights. I can screw on any head and shoot same spot.

I fine tune my bow first, then any head will fly right.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

I like wasp jackhammers

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Slick Trick 125 grain for me. They've worked for me all over the world, from Africa to Argentina to Alaska.
