Family looking for a year round deer lease that also has quail. I'm having a hard time finding one any suggestions will help.

I don’t know the answer to your question, but have pertinent information. Years ago, a company I worked for had a deer/quail lease in south Texas. In order to have enough quail to hunt, the ranch manager bought ‘wild’ quail to let loose on the ranch. He told me that the ranch, during tough winters, lost about 85% of the quail population. From that info, i’m thinking that having and maintaining hunt-able quantities of quail must be difficult.

Each year that they bought those ‘wild’ quail, they got varying degrees of wild. One year they brought in a bazillion quail that were not wild at all. I’d put customers on the Jeep, we’d find a covey and hop out of the Jeep with our shotguns. The quail would see us and come running and stand around our feet while hoping, I guess, for food.
