Any bird reports from south Texas? East ranch, King or Kennedy, Hebbronville area?

I had one secondhand report of over twenty coveys on a King ranch lease. We had that one good report on here from near Encino. I had one firsthand report of one and two coveys on the East.

Thanks Bill. Got a report of a few coveys in Jackson county. Mostly walking and hunting fencerows around cultivated plots.

I think that is now called the coastal plains area. I've hunted that area years ago. No. New reports.

Not hunting this year, so this isn't first hand, but:
Santa Gertrudis division of King Ranch....few birds
Laureles Division....not too bueno
Down South, the western pastures of the Norias division still reporting good hunting

Now, this is first hand:
Drove for a friend the other day over west of Benevides...Sweden ranch (intersection of 2295 & 16)
We hunted lightly, and still found good numbers of birds.

I live on a ranch in the Rachal area and run dogs on a few other places close by. Been averaging about 6-8 coveys a hunt. Been seeing a lot of 10+bird coveys but find a few pretty small ones as well. Not as good around here as it has been the last two years but still pretty decent hunting.

In Dimmit County I'm finding 12-15 coveys/day, but in desperate need of moisture. Covey size is smaller than previous years.

This time of year it’s starts being foggy in the mornings and green weeds start sprouting.
