On this cold and winter day I got to thinking of past hunts and had to share.
2015 and 2016 were very good to me I've hunted Elk for almost 40 years and have never killed animals like this before. It's hare to express the feeling when you walk up on creatures like these. Needless to say I was speechless at first and needed a D9 scraper to wipe the smile off my face after words. Both bulls were killed in Wyoming. The first one is a perfect 7X7 and scored 346 (a bull of a lifetime),the second one is a 6X6 and scored 315.

Beautiful. The impressive part to me is that they put on that many inches of antler in less than one year.

Having lived in Montana and Colorado I have been blessed to kill over a dozen elk, but never got nice bulls like that, very cool!

The outfitter was Swift Creek Outfitters it's a 30 year family run outfit and these guys are Elk specialist. All hunts are horseback wilderness fair chase hunts the true elk hunt experience
