On our morning run/rabbit hunt. Judee locked up on a dead run, I thought she must have smelled where a rabbit had run ahead of us and was scenting the rabbits track, not near enough cover to hold a rabbit. So I thought.

About chit my pants when I walked up and that rabbit came squirting out from under my feet. I am learning trust!

Rabbit spin out.

What's the question?

Bill, I was questioning her pointing what I thought was obvious bare ground and no place for a rabbit to hide.

I should have known better by the look in her eyes, you know the trance thing you talk about.

I once had a point in a bush and a rabbit ran out. I let down just as a covey of quail flushed.

Wished I would have taken the time to take some pictures of her in that trance in the snow in Kansas, but thinking she was pointing a rooster that don't always hold, I missed some pictures of great points. All the quail held tight and you had to kick the tall grass to get them up.
