I'd love to go to shot if I had a way in. DSC puts on a good show.

I don't dare set foot in that place. I'm far too weak.

Possibly going on Sunday. Will be my first time. How many items are for sale, and how much of it is just display items?

Art, books, clothing, knives and gear is all for sale.
Some optics for sale, some for display only.
I don’t think rifles are for sale on the spot to take but I’m not 100% on that. I have never seen anyone filling out paperwork. They are for sale. I imagine you just make whatever arrangements are easiest. Most probably buy and have shipped to FFL.

I checked out a $175,000 Purdey 28 gauge. I’m guessing shipping would be free. smile

Yes. That’s what cost me. Feels just like it should - solid.
Didn’t buy one there but one is on the way. Time to sell some and consolidate. smile

It handled well, but not $173,000 better than my Ruger Red Label. smile

It not hard to get to. I just put Dallas Convention Center in GoogleMaps. Parking is in the big garage attached to it - on Griffin I think.

yep griffin but it will fill up fast, so outside lot.

GO NOW !!!

I bought another Swarovski scope, great DSC discount at the Europtics booth, plus a free Custom elevation turret. Hunting scope

but PLENTY for the PRS/Tactical stuff there.....SIG was VERY impressive this year

Almost ordered a new Proof Research rifle, BIL talked me down, even after a few beers.

I lack the Rocky for the slam. Going to stick it out with the draws/raffles a few more years. I just can’t see paying the freight on a Canadian bighorn hunt - for several reasons.

Any insight you wouldn’t mind sharing about outfitters you were considering and why you chose who you chose? You can pm me if you wish. Headed to SCI in a couple of weeks and a mtn goat is top on the list thanks.

Agree, I need a Stone and Bighorn to complete my slam...I just turned 42 and am running out of time on my "want to"do this. Found one deal on a California Bighorn for $28k...yep it's a lot of money--but a good guide in WY will cost 10k and who knows when I'll draw...I haven't yet...just glad I did my Dall when I did. The Stone on the other hand...well...that's going to hurt like dental surgery....
