That would be beyond nice.

I’ve got the Bushnell Fusions. I loved them at first, and I still like them, but they’re losing their touch. Won’t range as far as they used to. I sent them to Bushnell to see if there was a problem. They said that they are fine and sent them back.

With the G7 and Sig rangefinders out there, and with all of their capabilities, I plan on going back to a traditional bino/rangefinder setup to take advantage of the better rangefinding technology. I’d still prefer all of that tech packed into some quality 10X binos, though. It sure is handy having it all in one unit.

I want all in one. I want to carry one observation optic, coupled with a range finder. Night Force toughness is also what I need.

SHOT is coming up...

No, just dreaming. You never know, though.

January is not the time of year to buy a new optic.

They're on a short list. I need to borrow some for a week before I commit to buying though.

it is if you know what you want and its not a new model coming out, which usually take a year to hit the market. great deals on current stock.

this being said, I might wait to see what comes out new in the bino/RF market, the 10X Nightforce would be a dream

I wonder if they will make it in house or someone make it for them, which would suk. Nightforce is not know for binoculars.

I waited until SHOT was over last year. Sure enough, they debuted a new reticle I liked batter. I called to order and was told late April before they had any in stock. I got a phone call in late April saying the scope was available. I paid, they sent it.

Night Force was not known for spotting scope either. That damn Judd brought his out, and I made the mistake of looking through it. I was watching him make 6mm bullet holes in paper, at 600 yards.

Night Force can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned.

That NF spotter is a rebadged Meopta S2. Meopta makes it for them. If NF ever made a RF/Bino combo I doubt they'd make it themselves. LOW in Japan makes their scopes if I'm not mistaken.

Maybe it is some models of riflescopes, but I know some are Japanese. If you're referring to the spotter, it is 100% Meopta.

Which I believe is assembled in Long Island, N.Y.. Parts probably made in Czechoslovakia but built here in USA.

I hunted for years with heavy binocs. Almost gave me scoliosis. Finally I found some Leica 10x40 Trinovids that were small and light. Built like a tank and green armored. Cost a fortune back then. They used a lens system that i’ve read is too expensive to use now. They are old, and i’m sure they don’t have the latest coatings, but they are still marvelous. I’m not replacing them.

On spotting scopes, I was stunned to read that NF makes one that will let you see bullet holes at 600 yards. Wow! That’s beyond impressive.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one on that train!

Agreed. In fact, Meopta made the original Zeiss Fl T spotting scopes for Zeiss. It had "made in Czech Republic" right on the box.

here you go..
Was at DSC, they have a new 3k yard bino range finder and a new handheld

I LOVE my 10x42 HD Geovid LRFs
I was talking with the guy yesterday about how "easy" they are to use in the field.
I also have a pair of Trijicon HDs (Meoptas) and had them out last weekend hunting.
Very nice glass and much more compact and light but you have to be constantly changing the focus as you change distances. With the Leicas there is such a MUCH wider range of usable focus, they are just so "easy" to use...

Let's get you on in to review

My Leica Geovid 10x42 HD-B's have several years of service, and have never done me wrong. If I lost these, I'd beg steal or borrow until I could get enough money for another pair just like them.
