Anyone use them? The ranch below us swears by them on their UTV's.

I have the Essex Surefoot tires on my Mule 4010. We have a lot of deep and bad mud holes when it’s wet and most all the time 4 wheel drive isn’t needed with the Surefoots. They are good tires.

That's not a bad looking tire. If you don't deal with any deep mud, those may be the ticket.
I'm running the Essex Surefoot on my mule 3010 and dad has them on his Kubota RTV900 and we both have had excellent results. Dad has had the same set of tires on two different Kubota's (put the tires new on one Kubota, sold it but kept the tires, then put them on the new Kubota.) I think he's going on 8 years now on the same set of tires and they'll go a lot longer. We have one pretty swampy area on our lease and have yet to have any problems crossing it.

We are down in Val Verde county so don’t have mud to deal with just rocks and cedar stumps. The land owner likes them bc the tred is not as aggressive and will not tear up the roads as much.

I too am watching this, I need some new tires for my new Can Am Defender and I need a 14 inch wheel, and I like the run flats. Ran Essex surefoot 589 pattern for a decade, essex makes a good tire.
T-Hawk has one with a 14 inch wheel, whereas the other essex do not. I am curious how they do when it gets slick though....?

I got the Essex surefoot T-Hawks on, 28X10X14 and so far so good. They run fine, and no flats... I've run essex surefoot 589 pattern for many years, the T-Hawks are smoother due to tread pattern and lack of 1.5 inch lugs. Clearly any essex surefoot tired is going to be rougher than stock 6 ply rubber tires, but i don't think they are too rough at all. I run in varied terrain behind bird dogs, i think these will be good. I'll report back at the end of quail season.

JeremyKS--I sure forgot to report back, and I am sorry for that. Good tires, I like them better than the Surefoot 589 pattern I think. On hard pack and caliche roads for long distances they are darn smooth, as they have a center "rib" in tread pattern that you ride on. So far I have a few hundred miles on them, a dead even mix of hard caliche and soft red mud, and lots of thorns and cactus. Done well in all and i would buy again, and will.

Thanks for the report. I sure liked the surefoot tires I had on my old machine but liked the looks of the T Hawk better.

My hunting partner put a set of THawks on his Pro FX Mule this year. I didn’t think he’d like them as much as the Surefoots but he had no problems in the deep mud we had several days last season, and they are smooth. I like his machine better than my 4010 and may upgrade. I’ll probably go with the surefoots again though. Slick looking rig: The gun box on the roof is great too. He also put a metal basket on the front grill guard that I’ll definitely have by next season. His is the nicest and most well thought out Quail rig I’ve hunted out of.
