There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

Geoff Sterner
Sterndog kennels, he has some of the finest wirehairs in the country, and lives in Granbury. If I wanted one of those ugly dogs he’d be the one I’d get it from.

Joking, I think they’re good dogs and I really like them, I just don’t think they are the prettiest breed.

You can get a Drahthaar, www,vdd-gna.org . Forrest I agree. Get a DD. Don't settle for a wirehair.

They are just like any other dog. The better they do, the prettier they get.

You can get a Drahthaar, www,vdd-gna.org . Forrest I agree. Get a DD. Don't settle for a wirehair. I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut that Geoff's dogs would hunt circles around 99% of DDs. If you pick a good breeder, there wouldn't be any "settling" on a GWP compared to a DD.

I second on Geoff Sterner with Sterndog.
I recently bought a started GWP from him. I have been beyond pleased. Already had him on Wild Phez last week and he blew my mind.

I love my GWP, he is a fun dog for sure. At 1.5 years he been a joy to hunt with. He's from Kansas, but the breeder met me halfway to Dallas. I think a couple other guys here have pups from him as well. Search my user name for his contact info and pics from last year.
