While I was in NETX a few days ago I saw two young bucks that had already lost their horns. Anyone else seen any deer that had already dropped? I saw it last year too on a couple young bucks.

I was hunting in Lampasas County a few years ago during the last week of the season. A young buck walked right infront of my ground blind. As I was watching him, his antlers just fell right off of his head right in front of me. Very cool to see. So yes, they can lose their antlers this time of year.

Were you looking at him through a rifle scope when his antlers dropped? Thought it might be a defensive tactic! lol

If you find yourself feeling useless, remember it took 20 years, trillions of dollars, and four presidents to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

Sometimes the Universe puts you in the same situation again to see if you’re still a dumbass.

Have seen it in mid to late December in Harrison county, but then again we hunt a river bottom area that the land was farmed completely devoid of nutrients.
