For a fellow firefighter's dad(Christmas). These are growing on me for size and contrast looks. Alabama Damascus always looks pretty. This one is about 7" OAL

how do you get the 2 very different patterns in the Damascus

how do you get the 2 very different patterns in the Damascus The steel is folded over and over and when sanded reveals the pattern. The acid etch makes them stand out. The longer in the acid the deeper the etch is and gives some variance to the look. They all look different to a degree even in same pattern.. patterns being (random, twist, ladder and some custom patterns).
