This is the first time I've ever shot two bucks in one season. I've put the focus on does for a few years and now we have a pretty even ratio from what the cameras and sits show me. Lots of bucks with broken tines or even broke mainbeams. My buddy shot a post mature 10 opening weekend that was nice and I let a few walk. I never get in much of a hurry.

Shot the doe and narrow 9 within five minutes of each other thanksgiving weekend, I had 17 other deer in front of me, suppressors are nice. He is one of the bigger bodied deer I've ever taken. He was just really narrow.

I let the wide "9" walk all last year and he actually lost some inches this year as he isn't even a scorable 9 now. He was a 8 in 2015. I'm gonna pull his jaw tomorrow because I'm curious if I misjudged him or if he was just really rutted down, he was noticeably smaller than when I let him walk opening weekend. Either way I like both bucks and let some really great young bucks walk. In addition this was the first year of my girlfriend hunting with me so great memories made.

That's nice. I need to add a suppressor too.

Thanks everyone. I have the wide ones skull simmering in the pot, working on the euro. Letting the meat age a little more in the fridge and cooler.

This was my first year using a suppressor and I'm pretty happy with it. I didn't even hunt with my trusty old Mod. 70 this year because there is now way I'm cutting and threading a fifty year old rifle.

No sir. Only now hunted one season before I suffered an injury that made me give it up for a few years. Been toying with the idea of trying it again though.
