Looking for some insight on baiting hogs.... I’ve heard koolaid and corn works but have not tried... I’m heading out for a duck hunting trip but we see pigs and would like to bait some nearby. If anyone has suggestions let me know!

koolaid, hog wild, concentrated fruit punch (frozen stuff), anything that's sweet and smelly. If you did a hole about 2'-3' deep and fill it with sweet corn, you can have them coming back often.

I wouldn’t bait pigs anywhere near where I was duck hunting. Too easy for law to misinterpret your intentions.... diesel soaked corn gets my vote for bait. Nothing but pigs will eat it. If you’re really into foul smelling filth, mix water yeast and beer with 5 gallon bucket full of corn . Let it sit until you can smell it from 20 feet. Burn all your clothes after dumping it in pile

I have done big red, strawberry jello mix combined in a 5 gallon bucket and seen them go right for it personally. Now if it was a fluke that they were just in the area so be it. But we've killed hogs doing this.

I am planning on baiting the property where we would be Leaving from about a mile away from the water

Could you run a feeder there? Honestly if you can get corn on the ground routinely that's all you need. If no feeder than do like Chad said. Post hole diggers a good 2 feet or more, fill with corn. All that souring corn with this or that may or may not work, it never helped me. Plain corn, once they find, they'll look there again. They'll come back until the corn is gone or you lean on em too much. Hogs are like welfare recipients, give em a free meal and they will come to expect many more.

Like others said. Plain old corn works just as well as anything else. No need to do more than maybe add some diesel for the extra odor. They love the smell of diesel.

burnt motor oil on burlap sack around post Mineral oil also works, they will make a rub from it. How are you burning your motor oil?

I get a five Fallon bucket and fill halfway, then I clean out my fridge and dump inside. The cover with corn. Top off with expired milk and a shot of kerosene...
It seems to work.
One thing I can say about plain corn, every time I hand corn I watch the cows get to it. But I have seen hogs twenty yards from it and not go to it.......
