reading reviews on cabelas, basspro and academy there are so many mixed reviews. Usually I make 3-5 lb batches of jerky and looking for a dehydrator in the $100 or less price range.

I've got one of those round types not sure the brand it works just fine. One thing is its a 5 tray and I can just barely get 5lbs of snack sticks on it. I'd go with a 10 tray. Seen some nice ones at Cabelas.

Cabelas had some good sales. I seen a 12 tray normally $199 for $89.. I have the 6 tray and it rocks. Might check online and in store.

I also have the 6 tray Cabelas brand dehydrator. Works fine and will fit 5 lbs of raw meat on it. Wait until they run them on special. I got mine for 99$ I think.
