I haven't bow hunted in probably 15 years plus. Haven't even picked one up since.

Little help here, I will get around $400-$500 in Cabelas gift cards from family for Christmas

I went and looked twice at them and I guess they seem ok

What do y'all think?

I fully plan on adding $400-$500 cash to get what I need

But am getting back to bow hunting next year

Are they worth the $$$?

I just sold my mathews Halon and got the new Triax... and it is def worth the $... but there was a guy there shooting the new pse carbon air stealth and it was a sweet looking bow! is about a pound less than mine, but it was pretty loud and didnt shoot any faster.... but it still was one of the best looking bows out there... you may see if cabelas will let you order one of the carbon air PSE bows...

Unless I am mistaken the Caron is from the PSE Pro series and that series is not sold at Cabela's. the best shooting bow at Cabela's to me is the Bear Moment, don't see it on the website now but it is in some stores. Some stores still have Bear Escapes, Arena 34 and Moment in stock.

The best shooting PSE online at Cabela's is the Dropped which is a PSE brute force with the Dropped camo pattern. The package online comes with a PSE drop away rest. the Infinity is a short axel to axel bow which is handy. Either of those PSE bows I would order the PSE roller cable guide for an upgrade that is simple to install.

Another bow there to try is the Diamond Deploy which is a Bowtech Carbon knight brought into the Diamond line. It is light weight and smooth on the draw.

I got a flyer in the mail from Cabelas and this coming Friday or Saturday (not sure but I think it's Friday) they are having a 5-hr sale in store only and they show a PSE for like half the price of original cost . Can't give prices cause it's home in the trash . But they are having a great sale . One example was a New Special line of Franchi Affinity Shotgun 12-ga regular price is like $1199.00 but will be on sale for $799.00 I think . That's a pretty good sale price if interested in a Franchi . I've had one for a couple yrs and I really like it well ! Not trying to sell Franchi , just letting you know a good sale at Cabelas in store Friday .

Yeah that sounds like a heck of a deal

Thanks guys

I'm too cheap to not use those cards on a bow

I have saw those Diamond brand bows too but I guess it is more of a name recognition for someone who hasn't bow hunted in FOREVER.

My buddy told me to go to Cinammon Creek but idk, no gift cards coming from there

Diamond bows are made by Bowtech. The cabeleas brand is also made by Bowtech. I would rank both of them over the low end PSE bows.

I am using a diamond SB from cabelas . Its my fist bow but I like it a lot. Plenty of adjustments(lbs from 5 to 70, draw from 21-31) . Its a package bow, so the only thing you need in addition to start shooting is arrows and a release. I will say the arrow rest is the first upgrade that I did as the one that comes as the package is really cheap. The sight is next . Its all plastic with no markings for adjustments. As said it is a Bowtech bow and warrantied through Bowtech. I went with the SB over the infinity edge because of the better cams , $50 more.

CCR is awesome and I go there for everything I need after buying the bow. Their bone stock adult bows start out a bit over $500 , with no accessories(no sight, arrow rest, peep hole or stabilizer) - another $300+ will be needed before you start drawing back .

I have the PSE Bowmadness and love it, I would go shoot a few different bows. Some bows shoot different for people. Go try some out and see which one fells like it's part of your arm.

I love my PSE, I have the Bow Madness. I have owned BowTech, Bear, and Hoyt. It far and away is my favorite. However, to be honest, I know a whole heckuva lot more now than I did with those other bows.

After shooting Hoyt for years and Matthews before that moved to PSE this year, for the season 3 deer harvested and several more pigs. Happy with the change so far up

I've really enjoyed my PSE Evo 7 bow. Got mine at Pigeon Road in Stephenville. Small shop that gives very good one-on-one service. Supposedly has one of the highest volume PSE bow sales in the country. Don't reckon they take Cabela's gift cards though.
