We always did great hunting near a private milo field. Never really saw any on public out there.

Last year about this time we headed up to an area just north of Lubbock to hunt phez and quail. The farmer planted all cotton instead of milo and there wasn't much CRP so it started out being more of a quail hunt along the edges and draws. It didn't take long to notice there were hundreds if not thousands of dove tho.

Midday I decided to sit on the flight line where they were pouring into the field with a 6 pack and had a blast that afternoon. Heading up there next Wed-Fri.

It's one of those things where you have to be on the X since they all group up. We didn't see much in other areas nearby, but if you happen to be on it... look out.
