For the North Tx guys, where do y'all think we're at?
I saw a good rut last about a month around where I hunt.
It seemed longer than normal.
The last 2 weeks have been bone dry
No chasing at all
So are we done w rut all together or will we have another late season rut kick in here soon?
Just for discussion, what y'all think?

Had two bucks harassing a doe yesterday morning. Saw a buck make a scrape too. Not nearly as many deer sightings now as compared to when the bucks were cruising, about a month ago.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

From the reports I got from our hunters, the rut in Stephens County near Breckenridge was the week before Thanksgiving, so around 11/16. Second rut should be kicking off now, at least that's what I am hoping for. Several of our hunters reported good chasing going on that 11/16 week.

All years past the rut was over by the full moon after Thanksgiving, but this year is different. Last weekend we saw chasing all over the ranch and every buck I saw made scrapes all over. This year I've seen more scraping activity while hunting than any other year. If I had doe at my spot it sure would make a lot of boys happy lol

I saw more rutting activity last weekend than I have all season. That cold weather had them fighting and chasing. I watched a long fight between a couple of young bucks. I had a doe come in one morning with 3 bucks in tow.

I'm seeing lots of deer in Parker county but no chasing of any sorts now. Only seeing young bucks and lots of does right now. The peak seemed to be about the 2nd week of November. Hoping that some of the does that didn't get bred will kick off a second rut. I got my buck opening day, but would like to see my son get one.

I was driving thru the old country club in Georgetown on Monday and saw 5 bucks (young to middle age) chasing a hot doe thru all the residential yards. I frequently drive thru there to see how the deer are acting, bedded, grazing, bachelor groups, chasing, etc. It was kinda funny to see 4-5 large does with fawns bedded down in one of the yards and have a hot doe followed by 5 bucks almost run over the bedded deer.

That's basically what I saw Opening weekend rut was on but it stayed for close to 4 weeks. Then, bone dry. I've saw zero interest in 2 weeks. Just seemed like an odd year

I keep hoping but I had 8 doe at the feeder this evening.
That's it.
For the last few weeks it anywhere from 4,5,6,10 doe
A spike, 4 point and 1.5 year old 8 occasionally make an appearance but no interest
I had that 8 and spike share the feeder yesterday. They ran the doe off, never chased
It's just an odd year.
Idk

The echo rut has begun in North Texas where the deer population is high enough to have unbred doe. This buck was taken last night near the Brazos in Somervell County...

Recently got a gym membership, strange folks! I like to show up the roid zombies with my full motion curls with the 55lb. bells. Not their cheater short stroked light weights. It's holarious.
