I am thinking about buying my girlfriend the weatherby vanguard compact with the adjustable LOP.
Anybody have any experience with one?

No experience with the compact adjustable stock.

Have you considered / handled the Weatherby Camilla.

Just looked at one and I like it! You may have just picked Mrs. B's Christmas present.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

My Mrs. B loves hers and killed a nice buck with it this year. 7mm-08. It is a nice little rifle for the money.

I'm thinking the same caliber, she loves the 7mm08 she has. That Camilla would great on her.

I'm gonna go with the creedmoor since thats what I am shooting. If anybody else has a compact gun in that caliber they think would be better let me know.

Mrs. B needs the Mark V Camilla subalpine or Mark V Camilla deluxe.

Savage lady hunter does look nice... Do you think it would be better than a weatherby?

Better in what way?

I wouldn't buy a rifle for someone without them handling it to see how I fits them & how they like it.

I'm not a savage fan but believe the major manufacturers all make rifles capable of similar accuracy.

My sister is 5'2" and under 100lb and she shot my adult stock'd Weatherby Vanguard. The gun did start off as a youth model with the shorter LOP (and 20" barrel) but even with the longer LOP she was fine. Just something to consider.

As for the newer adjustable LOP, I have no experience. But the Vanguard rifles are great buys.

Ya she shoots a normal size savage right now but it just does not fit her.

my wife is also around 5'2" and she has: Weatherby Vanguard ss .243 that the stock has been cut down for her & she is deadly accurate with it

And she also has a Savage Lady hunter in 308 that we did not have to cut & it is lighter than the vanguard

And for Xmas she is getting a Ruger m77 markii compact .223 ss w/16" barrel & laminated stock for some predator hunting after deer season closes

not sure any is better accuracy wise than the others : Weatherby had to have stock cut and trigger work done on it to fit her(still her favorite) Savage Lady Hunter - bone stock and nice trigger & Light(also prettier than a vanguard). The m77 don't know yet

Around $490 for the youth, around $520 for the compact, around $610 for the Camilla.

while your shopping take a look at the Browning X-Bolt Micro Midas. Might be out of budget? $600?
