Is there another centerfire 17 besides the 17 Rem?

Fireball and Hornet, as far as commercial rounds go.

Lots of wildcats but Sneaky named the other two factory offerings I know of.

I have a 17 Remington that is my favorite coyote gun. Something about it yotes just seem to fall over when hit.

Like picking up a feed sack full of jello.

Good description, my 17 runs very fast at 4250fps with the fatory 25gr loads and my reloads get that as well from my rifle. Love being a a little over an inch high at 100 and an inch low at 300. That comes at a price of copper fouling but that went away with a healthy charge of CFE223

Should've seen the coyote I hit at 300 yards, with a 180 gr out of the 7 Rem Mag on Thursday. eek2

Think it might have looked a lot like one I shot at about 275 with a 140gr BT from a 7mmSTW with the older original BTs before they beefed up the jackets.

Exactly, but several others will cause dramatic damage, the 22-243 at 3500fps MV with 80gr Nosler falls in there especially when the shot is inside 50 yards

No doubt. 45 gr hollow point out of a .22-250 is pretty salty.

I remember shooting one with same caliber and 140 BT, I could see lots of fur floating with the wind and the exit was the size of a football.

I hit one with a 150gr .308 Ballistic Silvertip at 60 yards, was about like that. Good medicine!

Nastiest exit wound I got on a coyote was a tie between 300 wby 220 grain hornady interlock round nose, gut shot on the trot or a 90 grain speer HP out of a 270 win at 3400-3500 fps.
