Is anyone on here familiar with this Rifle and willing to educate me? It stays in my safe and I took it to pay a debt owed to me. Russian VS China made? Value?

They only SKS I ever saw was 7.62x39, are you saying you have one in .223 or 6.5mm?

My mistake you are correct. I typed the caliber of an ad I just looked at. What can you tell me about these?

What caliber is it?
It sounds like you are saying it's a .223

Value can be anywhere from $200 to $1000 depending on country of origin, year made, rarity, condition, stock quality, etc.
Need more info. Pictures and a serial number would be a good start.

The plastic one is an ATI Strikeforce folding stock.
Looks like an early Chinese Norinco model. Around $400-$500 would be about right IMHO, but I am not as familiar with the Chinese as some other variants.
Quality-wise, it's one of the more desirable models IIRC, but they made a ton of them so that keeps value down to some extent.

$350-$450 is about the range in today's market. Original stock ,mag, and bayonet help with collectors. I have a Russian that did not have bayonet or mag which affects resale price.

Good luck getting someone to give $350+ for it. Norenco sks are a dime a dozen. The Russian made ones are said to be of better quality just like the AK's. It should be a great hog killer, have you shot it? Another thing to keep in mind is the cost of ammo. I can't think of a cheaper centerfire rifle round that can be had for less. It's possibly the worlds most produced round, or at least was.
