Yes, definitely Sika. Neighbor has a couple, one of them whistled at me the other day. That was a new experience.

That's a mighty big and tall sika deer to be so young. I'd look up Barasingha if I were you. If it IS a Barasingha, DO NOT kill it without the proper permit. Federal offense.

My first thought was a young red stag, after going online and looking at pics of both, going with Sika also

YD, I'd send that photo to your local Game Warden. Unless there's something funny about the camera angle, I just can't see an animal that large as being a Sika.
