At Thanksgiving they were starting to chase. Some were hard at it and others didn’t care. I’d expect it to be full tilt soon.

According to my SPYPOINT camera, it appears they’re chasing pretty hard. Had several big, mature bucks on camera that I didn’t see 2 weeks ago. Should be a good week.

I hunt about 15 miles south of big lake and we had some bucks chasing but the does didn't seem to interested in their advances. I had a 3.5 yr old that had broke off his left side about 3" up from his skull and broke off the tip of his eight main beam and his g3 at about 2". He chased this one doe around while she tried to eat corn for an hour. He would run her into woods and I guess loose her cuz he would run back out to feeder and look around and smell air like he was hunting her down hard. Then he would tear off into brush and here they would come running back to feeder. Pretty fun to watch.
Guess I should add this was last weekend after thanksgiving.

Just a disclaimer: I like having my game cam pics sent to me every two hours, however; I paid $220 for the camera, so I figured the pics would be crisper, more clear, better.. There is no way to change anything to improve clarity. With that being said, this is the first time, I've seen this buck on camera. He was at the feeder two days in a row. Should be a good week coming up with the colder weather coming in. It appears they're pretty active right now. I hunt north of Ozona off of 190, south of Big Lake.

They should be really rolling this weekend. Some activity last weekend but with the bright moon and little cool spell, bigger bucks should be getting involved. Adios, Gary

There was a few does acting frisky and some young bucks acting curious over Thanksgiving. Headed back the 8th. With cold front coming in around the 5-6th should really kick in. We are off 1023 going back towards Comstock

Not much happening out here right now. Hopefully tomorrow’s weather will change it. Saw a couple young deer chasing but would stop and go back to eating.

Amazing what a little cold weather will do. It’s stupid today. Deer running around like crazy.

My dad and brother got down there yesterday. Neighbor said they are running and one neighbor who got a boomer laster year sent a pic of a 160’s buck. I hope these bucks travel over 5 miles and I might have a chance at him. Have too see customer in Ozona and hopefully get to the Ranch for an evening hunt. Good luck
