ltl here...lookin for snake boots on ebay, saw these by Chippewa. Anybody got these and would recommend them? Is there a better brand? Or is this top of the line? Killed more snakes than dove last year, thought I'd finally give in and get some before sept 1.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chippewa-17-Leat...11/282619744151

I can't get my foot in those.... they are too tight around the ankle.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

I've got a pair of Chips and they're the most uncomfortable boots I have ever had. Lots of people like them but they are not for me.
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

Buy them as soon as you can.
They are the only boots I'd recommend for this need. Mine are super comfortable like none others I've tried.
Danner is quality as well. Just too tight around the leg for wearing jeans tucked into them for me.
That's one of the reasons I love my chips, my jeans never rinkle and bunch up in them. I have the Viper model though, which is different from the one your looking at; the one your considering is more tapered around the leg because it's a riding/snake boot.

I can't get my foot in those.... they are too tight around the ankle. What he said; mine are comfortable once on but getting them on and off is a complete azz whip. 9 out 10 times I choose my cabelas front zip snake boots and leave the chips in the truck. I've even had em stretched and no dice.

Boots are about FIT, Love them or hate them its about the size of foot.
Chips are far and away the most comfortable pair of boots, Shoes or slippers I own, But that's based on the size of my feet... slide on and off easily.... One thing... they are NOT waterproof.... if you hunt with lots of heavy dew, Your feet will get wet.... go out in the brush country though or mowing the grass these are awesome..... on me

Try several on and consider what you're using them for. The more you expect to use them, the more comfortable and minimal foot/ankle slip you want. Found a pair of Rockys at Bass Pro that felt real nice for @ $150-$160.

Chippewa's are super comfortable once broken in. Put on a pair of heavy socks and then soak socks in rubbing alcohol. Slide boots on and wear until socks are dry. Alcohol will dry much faster than water and won't harm the leather. This is how hockey players break in skates. Chip's customer service is second to none as well. I broke the small buckle at the top of one of my boots getting into my Mule and contacted Chippewa customer service asking for just the part to the buckle that was missing (the little roller bar). They sent me a brand new pair of boots!!!!! Only down side is that now I have to break them in again. Customer Service was super helpful, even sped up my repair/replacement order so I would have them back in time for bow opener this weekend.
Chippewa customer for life!!

I have Rocky Lynx hunting waterproof snake boots. They are comfortable and don’t have leather on them that will hold scent. They are also camo and have a side zipper so you don’t have to keep lacing them up. Check them out.

I have the Chips moccasin style with the zipper in the back. They’re probably 12 years old, need to get them resoled. I oil them before hunting season. They run 1/2 size large, I just wear a thick pair of carhartt boot socks

Muck rubber slip on snake boots. Most comfortable I've ever worn.

I have those same boots (in steel toe). They are not to comfortable for me but only because they are 1 size to big. I wore them for about a year before buying a pair of Justin's. I love my Justin's. They zip up the sides which make them easier to get on and off. If you are in dallas, go to the justin outlet. You can get the chips or justins there for half the price.
