Some states require this of other non-migratory game birds. However, in most cases all you have to do is be able to show you followed the law in the state where the birds were taken. You should have a dated texas motel, gas or meal receipt and a copy of the license of the hunter who shot the birds or his license #. If another hunter shot the birds a signed note stating this should also accompany the birds. You should be within the Texas possesion limit for each hunter's birds. However, the chances you would get checked by a non-texas warden are not likely unless you are in an obvious hunting rig or hunting in his state. I've been bird hunting in multiple states for 40 years and have been checked exactly twice in the field. However, getting a violation in one state can now block you from getting a license in other states. In most cases tickets are written after an inspection of a motel or camp freezer. (All those birds need to be clearly labeled as above.) In Texas almost all the upland violations are to duck hunters and dove hunters.

Get some gallon size freezer ziplock bags. Have each person put their daily limit, or take, (remember, only one limit per person per day)in a bag with the persons name and date shot on the bag. Your Outfitter should be able to help you answer any questions you have.

Wow your from Ohio!! I'm sorry ...lol just kidding best of luck here in our great state. Take a picture of your kill and it'll show on your phone if you have a recent I phone..Do they have I phones in Ohio yet? Sorry
Anyway I'd leave a wing and bag m to just to be safe..you probably won't kill much cause your a yankee so you won't have many birds to clean anyway...ok ok I'll stop..
Best of Luck...your going to need it...ok ok lol
