I heard in on the radio several years ago. Someone called is and said that they liked their steaks medium rare plus. I think rare, medium rare, medium, and well done are enough categories.

What do you call this one?



Only thing I would change would be well done to burnt. Thoughts?

That is a nice Medium rare and we already have enough classifications. I call well done hockey pucked. My mom will only eat a hockey puck steak. It is shameful.

I would call that rare and dig in.

I think the people who want all the classification are just never happy with it. I will eat it any way from dang near completely raw to well done, but I prefer rare, as long as it has a good sear on it ive never had too rare.

I had part of it leftover. I plan to make fajitas with the leftovers tonight. I'll stir fry it with sliced onions, add some Pico, and eat it with guacamole.
