I've recently picked up a high fence place that has a lot of doe and some culls. I'm needing some stuff killed this year and was wanting to know what everyone thought would be a fair price on doe and culls. Not any monster culls that I've seen, just narrow 8's and 8's with no eye guards. Has really good stands and feeders, but no place to stay. I can't do free, but I'd like to be fair. Any thoughts?

Where are you located? If you are near a large metro area, there will be more demand, and you may get a higher price. If you are in a remote area, with no place to stay, the opposite occurs. I would try for $100/animal.

you guys talking about $50-$100 an animal have lost your minds! i would say average price for a lease is $2500 a gun.....so $500 or so a deer on your tags. add to that the cost of feed and upkeep which i al sure adds another $200 or so to every deer shot.

You can't compare a day lease hunt to 1/5th of a hunting season. There isn't an place in Texas that could charge $700 per doe and get any hunters to come in. Doesn't make even a little bit of sense. Unless it was a 2 day hunt with a place to sleep, dinner and breakfast, and a chance at some hogs or something. Would you pay $2500 a year on a lease if you weren’t allowed to shoot any bucks, and weren’t allowed to stay there over night?

My BIL goes out to a friends ranch out west.....they have to "cull" 80 to 120 does each year.....he would be thrilled to get $100/head.....as it is he takes 6-10 guys out for a week, feeds them, and they shoot til they are tired of shooting and cleaning.....

200 per doe if you aren't housing/feeding them. 250-300 if you are. 500-600 on the culls, maybe more with food and lodging.

I have been on numerous leases, many of you have also. Some were poor, some were excellent, and some were in the middle. However, I have never thought of the money I spend for a lease, on a per animal basis. I look at it as money going towards a recreational opportunity that I enjoy. I am also open to hunting other game, and fishing (if there is any) not just shooting a deer. If someones focus is just the "cost" of the deer, save your money and go the the grocery store instead.

i think $200-$250 a doe is fair NOT $50-$100! i am doing a wounded warrior hunt right now and they shot 2 "cull" 8pts off a high fence ranch that were 140" plus deer. is that what you expect for $500?

$750 for a buck, add in a doe for $150 or so. you don't have lodging but if you did you could charge a little more.
whoever thinks you could just go shoot a doe for super cheap is just not realistic. would any of you have a stranger come out... provide a guide, or trust them to sit out on your land and not shoot something they shouldn't for $75?
yeah right.

Does-$150 Bucks-$500 Just my That don't sound too bad either way. Would you say that includes the guide? I can't just let someone go out there and shoot whatever comes out.

You make them sign a contract that specifies what happens if they shoot something they shouldn’t. Or if they shoot an unrecoverable deer. Any sign that a deer was hit and they pay.

I would say it would include a guide, maybe just someone you trust who enjoys doing it and making a little scratch. I think you could maybe get a little more $$$ but much more and I'd expect a little more if it were me. Maybe tell them or remind anyone who goes your guide "appreciated tips" type deal. But you pay the guide a little too

Still got a month of deer season left.
Lease it to a group and tell them what you want and charge a flat price for the property....

If you aren't wanting to "guide" just sell doe hunts and let your friends shoot the bucks.

I would never put someone in a blind without someone you know, because they will shoot the wrong deer without a guide.
