What's up ya'll.

Just started getting into hunting and went on my first hog hunt (first ever hunt actually) 2 weeks ago at Wolf Pen Hunts out in Columbus (cannot recommend them enough. price & amenities were great. 2 hogs, atv rental & housing for $175). Watched a video on how to field dress a hog and just went to town on it afterwards. Cooked it up in a red wine wild hog stew the next day.

Hogs taste great and are fun to shoot, but I can only eat so many at once. The hunt was great for getting my feet wet, but now I'm hungry for some deer meat.

Anyone have any recommendations for an outfitter/ranch that offers single doe meat hunts for one hunter near Houston? ( <3 hours away )

Thanks in advance.

Budget isn't a huge issue and because of my work I have a lot of free weekdays. However, I'm hoping to book a hunt in the next 2 weeks (once you've got deer fever, it's all you can think about) and probably somewhere in the $200-400 range. I'm probably looking to only hunt one doe for the first time, but I'll at least give any packages a consideration. Most big outfitters seem to focus on bucks and exotic hunts and don't have any pricing or information on doe meat hunts. Any outfitters or landowners reading this willing to let a solo hunter come in for a small gig like this? I'm open to anything, but I'm determined to get me some venison this season.

So far, I've found
Karankawa ($150 guide fee, $170 a doe, but no availability until January and probably weekdays only)
Cross Oaks Ranch ($900 - 2 doe + $250 guide fee? Didn't contact them, but feels too much for a first timer. Maybe next season)
Blue Creek Adventures ($200?? The line was busy when I called and all my e-mails bounced.)

I'm also open to booking a hunt with any outfitter that will take a solo hunter for any type of game for a day hunt less than $300.

None of my family or extended family hunt or even own firearms, so I'm working with what I've got.
