You assume incorrectly. I spend uninterrupted weeks at my place every year in November and run several cameras as well. Pretty sure I have a good grasp of what's going on on my property. It's the same every year...

In Paducah have multiple cameras that send pics to my phone, starting on Monday of this week I have seen a big jump in mature buck movement and it keeps getting better by the day and movement all day. Should be getting close.

Any concern about the wind this weekend? I'm hearing it's going to be howling.

Higher than normal winds can slow things down, but it's not like east Texas. In the wide open spaces like the Panhandle or the Midwest, wind is just a fact of life and 20-25 wouldn't keep me at the house in the least.

Great to know your on top of things at your place there in Hall County! Nice to know it's the same every year and there's no circumstances that change the timing.

What are you talking about? Are you just trying to argue? I made an observation about the rut for our area, and one that has been backed up many times over the years and a few times in this thread. Then you made a statement like I hadn't a clue and didn't put my time in. Of which, you made a poor assumption.

And to your latest statement, it is a scientific fact that the rut occurs the same time every year, but that time may be different from sub-species and regions. I've killed nasty, rutted-up bucks as early as October 4th and as late as December 30th. Generally, the only circumstances that change what we SEE of that rut is weather and overall population/buck-doe ratios. Of course that doesn't mean you'll never see a mature deer cruising or even chasing in our area in early November, but my experience and that of many others says that's the exception and not the rule.

But let's cut out the garbage banter and just discuss the good season that each of us hope to have. cheers

if the deer up there didn't move in the wind they would starve to death.

I hunted hall County and saw young bucks chase but the older ones weren't interested yet. I had 8 does at my feeder on Sunday and they ate and left undisturbed.

Hunted last weekend between quanah and Childress. Saw lots of bucks and only couple does. One nice buck but couldn’t determine if he was a shooter. Little bucks were chasing does but does weren’t interested. Next week or two should be awesome

Not quite Childress, but I hunted Baylor and Foard over the last week and still just seeing the young bucks chasing. Old bucks are pretty nocturnal.
