Bought this knife made from railroad spike over 20 years ago
as a gift for my dad that spent his working career as a railroad man.
Don't think he ever really thought as much of it as we thought he might
but regardless now that he's gone it's back in my hands and tell the
truth I'm not all that fond of the severe upturn of the point.
I realize it does give added cutting length but could to me look better
and (maybe only in my mind) be more functional.
So the question is: can the blade be modified to more
of a clip point or at least less of a curved trailing point?
Don't want to loose any more length than absolutely necessary
or the temper of the blade or any other negatives a
knowledgeable knife maker might inform me of.
Any and all comments welcome.
Just curious if there is a practical way to make it look less like a
middle eastern sash knife. No offense to any sash knife lovers.
