Looking for recommendations on a knife for a 12 year old. I'm thinking of a Case Trapper with a nice leather sheath. Anything else you fellas would recommend?

What would it be used for? What kind of money are you interested in spending?

Mini Griptilian
Small enough for a little pocket but big enough for most work for the next 20 years, easy to open, positive locking mechanism, easy to close, lifesharp service.....

Buck 110 seems a reasonable choice.

Buck 110 seems a reasonable choice. Thanks. I was browsing through Blade HQ site and they have lots of good deals on folders. Was thinking of maybe a nice flipper but nut sure if that is a good idea for a first knife due to not a whole lot of time handling knifes.

Get him something easy to sharpen. I’m not usually a big fan of 420 steel, but it’s highly rust resistant and takes an edge quickly with common tools.

One knife i'd recommend for a young man would be any of the Victorinox hunters/hikers/scout/farmer type knives.
