I’m going to have to step up my father game. First the Founder of Kuiu takes his 8 year old with him for his three day state record Desert Ram hunt and then 6 year old Forrest Browning seals the deal on his own draw hunt New Mexico Desert Ram. For you Instagram guys/gals check out Dallas Hemeyer ‘s Page. He did a hell of a job photo documenting the hunt. Photo cred- Dallas Hemeyer

That's impressive. I'm mad at those sheep but not a clue when I'll get to hunt one.

Nice Ram! I wonder if they realize the gravity of what they did? Opportunity of a lifetime and they got it done!! Who said, "money can't buy happiness"

Nice Ram! I wonder if they realize the gravity of what they did? Opportunity of a lifetime and they got it done!! Who said, "money can't buy happiness" Pretty sure the kids tag was draw. Now Jason’s tag well it was for sure a happiness tag. Hopefully both kids take it in stride and stick to lifestyle for the right reasons. Pretty cool though both kids are that into it already

At least it didn't have a colored ear tag. Well technically Jason’s did. Governor’s tag with the best outfitting team in the state. They only passed up 4 rams at 180 or touch better. They where hunting for this one ram. Pretty impressive that he brought his son on such i high profile hunt. Even more impressive kid stuck it out with him for three days. No a huge physical demanding hunt but not overly kid friendly either, especially little kid

No a huge physical demanding hunt but not overly kid friendly either, especially little kid 3 days for a kid at that age is a long time doing the same thing, those hills will wear you down over time too. No matter how they got the tags, they where treated to a lifetime hunt pretty much, bet it really soaks in as their hunting careers mature. Like the fact they where able to pass up a few rams, great lesson there too.

Pretty ram and great photo.
A lot of guys put their wives and kids in the sheep draws so they can have the best odds to go sheep hunting - whether they are the hunter or not. A lot of guys guide/help out on sheep hunts for the same reason. A lot of guys buy Governor’s tags for the same reason.
Sheep hunting is a unique addiction.

Wow that's a toad ram! I'm shocked a six year old could pull that off! Great pics and details thanks for sharing Bobo.

I can barely remember anything from when I was 6 years old, I sure hope he will.

I shot my first deer, a fallow doe, when I was 7. It was from a comfortable box blind under a feeder 110yd away. These kids blow me out of the water, outstanding!

Congrats to the kid. Impressive to say the least. Some people wait their entire lives and never get drawn.

Not an opportunity for the average kid. Note really, well Jason isn’t but the tag for the 6 year old is a draw tag, I get odds are beyond steep but their is a chance. End of the day, fathers where hunting side by side with thier kids. Way cool stuff.

So dad bought a sheep hunt and his son draws a tag? That’s a hell of a coincidence. Congrats nonetheless.
