Has anyone bought any of their stuff? Looks like it is from a guy who started at Sitka.

I was looking for a new jacket. I guess it is more of a layering system rather than just buying the jacket. So the price it a little more than i fist thought. Also looking at the gloves as i can never find a great pair.

I bought one pair of their pants. They work. Have a few small tears from rock though. Don't know how you patch them, since I don't think your supposed to iron on them.

The knee pads help an aging man build a fire, etc. I don't like how they only go up to 40" waist though. I'm not there yet, but portly men can hunt too!

Correct, Jacket wise, you are looking at soft shells or puffy jackets or fleece. Breathable layering systems for high output hunting..

If you are looking for more of a still hunting/whitetail hunting Sitka and Firstlite have a dedicated still hunting line(more insulation, quieter..Etc)

They do have a great glove line, especially since they use outdry. Lot better construction technique then goretex

I'll 2nd what Bobo said. Kuiu is all about the layers in their clothing. I have a few things from them and love it so far. Their attack pants are the most comfortable pair of pants I've ever worn, even including my street clothes.

The only jacket I have experience with is the Teton soft shell jacket. I didn't want a hood and was in their outlet clearance section, so I got it for a good price I feel. I like it, but wish I would have gone with something with pit zippers. From the little I've worn it, I got pretty warm while on the move, so the pit zips would have helped quite a bit.

For sitting still in a stand, there are much cheaper options to keep you warm without having to layer as much. It'll really depend how you hunt.

Expensive, but good gear. I have their Bino Harness (love it), the Guide gloves (great dexterity), a softshell beanie, softshell jacket, and a few other small things.

Note they claim they are an "Athletic fit" so if you're not a trim guy buy a bigger size.

Not impressed with their lack of different szes. See lots of stuff I like but not one single item in my size.

Have some of there clothing, top notch, extremely light and comfortable. I was lucky enough to be in a town when there mobile showroom came through and was able to find my exact size and what fit me the best. Very comfortable clothing. Get on there mailing list if you are having problems finding your size. They run out fairly quick of certain, more common sizes. Worth the money to me.

Definitely a layering system, so keep that in mind.

I bought the attack pants, Merino top, and the peleton 240 zip up jacket before I went elk hunting in Montana. When I got it I was very skeptical, so light. After I used it for the week I have been buying Kuiu exclusively for hunting clothing. I was very impressed. My Christmas list consists of 3 items, all Kuiu. Expensive but worth it - it is top notch!
