I usually see most of the rut action the weekend before thanksgiving and through that week.

No chasing today near Memphis. Winter one day, summer the next not making it easy.

Our lease is just northwest of Quanah, guys that were up there this weekend were saying bucks were beginning to chase. I am accustomed to having the most success the week of Thanksgiving and that weekend, but who knows. I observed some signs even on the opener but not enough to rough my feathers. However I will be making a trip this weekend.

Yes but not to his feeder. His feeder is on the edge of a humongous pasture. He sits on a bluff and can see about a mile. He saw does getting chased. None made it to his feeder. Only saw young bucks but maybe that's cause we are in Hall County. Only a clueless spike fed at the feeder all morning.

I'm in Hall since 2009 and have never seen a mature buck chasing this early. The 2-year-olds make for entertaining sits though.

Just because you haven't seen them in Hall County since 2009 doesn't mean they don't chase earlier, put in the time and you'll see it happen

My buddy in Paducah had the same experience as we did in Seymour. I watched a 4 yr old 8 and a 3 yr old 9 eat corn together at the feeder while the 2 yr old basket racks chased everything with a tail around th county.

Hopefully the big boys start to move this weekend.
